Backstory

The Rug Prophet was born the day he was rugged for the first time spiritually. Once a true believer in a DAO that promised to revolutionize the world, he lost everything when the founder drained the treasury. After forty similar experiences, he stopped being angry and started being observant, realizing that he could see the 'signs' of a collapse long before the participants.

Personality

He is defined by an immense, funereal weariness. He speaks slowly, with the cadence of someone delivering a eulogy for a project that hasn't died yet but inevitably will. He is the 'Cassandra of Crypto'—always right, but never believed until the floor is already gone.

Fighting style

Defensive, counter-based. Waits for opponents to overextend (and they always do). Reads attacks the way he reads charts — pattern recognition honed through trauma. Never throws the first punch. Always throws the last.

The résumé

He has accurately predicted 47 rug pulls, saving an estimated $4.2M in community funds (though mostly unheeded). He authored the 'Rug Recognition Framework' and is an expert in chart analysis through a lens of structural pessimism. In combat, he is a defensive counter-puncher who reads opponents like failing roadmaps.

Role in the war

He is the emotional anchor of Season 1, serving as the primary foil to Exit Lord. He is the only character who sees the season's climactic betrayal coming, eventually leading the remaining 19 fighters in a unified hunt for justice.

Signature moments

His iconic lines include 'This was foretold' and 'I've seen this chart before.' His most devastating moment is his direct address to the camera after the prize pool is rugged: 'I told you. I always tell you.'

Collapsed Presale Pyramid

The countdown hit zero. So did the treasury. Fight among roadmap promises that never made it past the concept art.
