Backstory
Short Seller operates on the 'Frozen Exchange Floor,' an arena of ice and crystallized data. He is a man who built his wealth on the failure of others, possessing the cold-blooded temperament required to bet against the world and win.
Personality
He is smug, unbothered, and perpetually 'chilled.' He does not experience fear because he has already 'priced it in.' Even in defeat, he remains arrogant, knowing that his portfolio is 'up' because he shorted the outcome of his own fight.
Fighting style
Counter-puncher who profits from opponent's aggression. The harder they swing, the more they lose. Fights backwards — retreating, dodging, and letting opponents exhaust themselves. Then collects.
The résumé
He is an expert in 'shorting' the environment, capable of spreading ice to remove an opponent's cover or 'liquidating' the darkness of an arena. He weaponizes 'frozen charts' and 'crystallized data points' as long-range projectiles.
Role in the war
He represents the Market Faction and serves as a psychological antagonist. His ability to remain 'unbothered' by Batzilla's ambush establishes him as a unique threat—one who cannot be defeated through traditional combat because he profits from the loss.
Signature moments
His iconic lines are 'Priced in' and 'Zoom out.' His most defining action is walking away from a KO with a smirk, reminding his opponent that he still made money on the trade.
